Three fifth-year students participated in the two-week-long program conducted through the end of February to March, AY 2018.
2018年度の2月から3月に2週間のプログラムが実施され、3名の5年生が参加しました。

- Clinical Shadowingでは医師・薬剤師・看護師からなるチームの回診に同行した。チームが今後の治療方針について話し合う際に、患者やその家族も話し合いに参加している様子が、日本とは異なる点だと感じた。In clinical shadowing I joined the rounds of a team of physicians, pharmacists and nurses. When the team discussed the treatment plan, the patient and family took part in the discussion — something I felt was different from Japan.
- 患者の治療に対する意識が異なることが実感できた。I could really feel that patients’ attitude toward their treatment is different.
- 以前よりも医療に対する視野が広くなり、様々な視点や価値観を持って薬物治療について考えることができるようになった。My view of health care has widened, and I can now think about drug therapy from a variety of perspectives and values.
- 英語を聞き慣れることができ、英語による授業を理解する力は上がったと思う。積極的に疑問や自分の意見を持つように意識を変えようと思えるようになった。I got used to listening to English and I think my ability to understand classes in English improved. I also came to want to change my attitude and actively hold questions and opinions of my own.
- 英語については勉強不足で、知識として吸収しきれなかった部分があったが、諦めずに学習に励むようになった。My English was not good enough and there were things I could not fully absorb, but it made me keep studying without giving up.
